Canadian Singer Dies in Wing-Walking Stunt Gone Wrong

A Canadian pop star died while attempting a wing-walking stunt for a music studio. Jon James, a noted rap singer, was 34. Filming was taking place in Vernon, British Columbia when he walked too far out on the wing causing the aircraft to spiral down. He apparently held on too long and did not deploy his parachute. The pilot was able to control the aircraft and land safely. A statement from the singers management team said, “He died filming for a project he had been working on for months. He had trained intensely for this stunt.”
