Fuel Truck Runs Into Jet at LaGuardia

A fuel truck at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport ran into the wingtip of an American Airlines aircraft as it waited for push back at its gate. It was a flight bound for Miami. It happened around 6:50am, Friday October 25. Although the airplane did not appear damaged, the 172 passengers were removed from the aircraft to allow for inspection and was later reported to have damage to the winglet of the 737 Max 8. No injuries were reported and travelers were rebooked on other flights.
