Here’s another side to the story about bleak employment prospects for Americans who don’t have a college degree: AAR Aircraft Services, Indianapolis, has jobs – good paying jobs with benefits and opportunities for advancement that require industry specialization and certification but not necessarily a bachelor’s degree. On MLK Day, AAR will pay tribute to Dr. King’s vision of economic empowerment and opportunity for all with the MLK Day of Service Job Fair.

Aviation is critical to our nation’s economic growth. AAR’s aviation technicians perform aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), supporting commercial aviation and defense operations around the globe. Many of the open positions require specialized skills, and some demand FAA certification. Training opportunities are available for those with the desire and discipline to contribute to AAR’s customer-driven growth and reputation as a safety-first operation. AAR is also hiring at its MRO facilities in Duluth, Miami, Oklahoma City and Hot Springs, Ark., all part of its 1MRO service and quality control network. Twenty percent of its workforce is comprised of military veterans.
