Airbase, part of Trenchard Aviation Group, announced it won the contract to manufacture Ultra- Leather seat covers for Acro.
This contract has resulted from Acro’s commission to provide new seats for Spirit Airlines, an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Miramar, Florida. Spirit Airlines, the seventh largest commercial airline in the United States, operates scheduled flights throughout the United States and in the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, and South America.

Airbase, located close to London Gatwick Airport, has 20 years’ experience of managing aircraft cabin interiors, including soft furnishings, carpets and dry cleaning. With its own cut and sew facilities on-site, the company’s expertise covers the manufacture of all types of seat covers and curtains as well as flight deck seat covers, fire containment sacks and other cabin bags and warning streamers.
Airbase says their team of pattern makers and machinists are skilled in creating and developing new covers and curtains to match customer specifications and all textile materials used in manufacture are tested in the company’s on-site UKAS-approved vertical burn test chamber.
