Ameco has completed its first 3C-check on a Boeing 747-8F operated by an undisclosed customer.
The company has already conducted C-checks on five Boeing 747-8s, three of which belong to Air China. The MRO is scheduled to complete C-checks for ten aircraft in the next two years. Ameco has been building its capacity since 2015, completing its first Boeing 747-8 2C-check in 2016.
Ameco aims to continue its expansion into more MRO business by developing new capabilities for new-generation aircraft types. It currently provides line maintenance for several Boeing 747-8, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 operators.
