Ten people onboard a private jet escaped after the aircraft conducted an aborted takeoff procedure and then ran off the end of the runway in Oroville, Calif. The passengers and crew managed to evacuate the aircraft before it burst into flames.

The Cessna Citation was scheduled to fly to Portland, Ore., but did not continue with an attempted takeoff. Witnesses said it slid off the end of the runway, passengers egressed and then the aircraft caught fire. Everyone on board was accounted for and there were no reported serious injuries. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
