According to a Montreal Gazette article today Aveos locked its doors and told some employees they were on permanent layoff. The article says Aveos closed its doors Sunday, telling most of its 1,800 Montreal employees to leave the premises at 5:30 p.m. The story says the employees were told to take their tools and belongings with them. The Gazette story says the company may file for bankruptcy on Monday, March 19, 2012. Other sources indicate a merger might be in the works.
