Avianor Group announced that Virginia Taborda has joined the team as vice president of Corporate Sales and Strategy based in the company’s Mirabel headquarters, near Montreal, Quebec.
“Bringing her solid background in sales, aircraft leasing, business development and finance, Virginia will help our company continue its rapid growth,” said Earl Diamond, EVP and COO. “To support our current operation and future opportunities, it became evident that we should expand our management team to include a greater focus on sales and strategic business development, which will allow our company to build sustainable growth for years to come.”
Reporting directly to Mr. Diamond, Mrs. Taborda will add depth to the team to ensure relationships with key clients are managed to their highest expectations and that Avianor’s level of service to customers and product quality is not reduced as the company continues to expand.
In conjunction with her focus on customer relationships and business development, Mrs. Taborda will bring her experience to develop Avianor’s corporate sales team to better support current growth and capture new opportunities.
Mrs. Taborda began her career in aviation with Rolls-Royce in 2002 holding a variety of positions leading to a role as sales director for US leasing companies and airlines. More recently, she spent time with CIT in their aircraft asset management team and moved to AWAS in 2009 as the vice president New Aircraft Programs and later vice president Business Development.
