Avianor Inc. announced today that it has completed the first three cabin modifications to convert two of Air Canada’s A319 aircraft and one 767 aircraft from the mainline fleet for Air Canada’s new leisure airline, Air Canada rouge.
“We are very excited and honored to be chosen by Air Canada to play such an important role in their new leisure carrier, Air Canada rouge,” said Earl Diamond, co-owner of Avianor. “Air Canada’s selection of Avianor as the turnkey provider of the cabin modification continues to extend the great partnership we have built with Air Canada over the past fifteen years.”
In addition to the physical conversion of the cabin, Avianor will be providing engineering and certification services as well as material design, production and procurement to transform the aircraft to the new Air Canada rouge fleet. Avianor completed the modification of the two A319 and 767 aircraft in its facility at Mirabel Airport outside of Montreal, Quebec. The aircraft entered service with Air Canada rouge on July 1st.
