More than 1,200 students are expected to attend and receive hands on training at the Van Nuys Airport Aviation Career Day event. The event will be tomorrow, April 20, 2012. The seventh annual The Sky’s the Limit: Aviation Career Day held at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) is an effort to combat the aging workforce and help the younger generation gain information and resources for careers in the aviation field. Los Angeles City Council member Tony Cárdenas, Syncro Aviation, Van Nuys Airport, and The Valley Economic Alliance will host 40-plus interactive exhibits, static aircraft displays, presentations and industry experts.
High school students will have the opportunity to use interactive displays, explore static aircraft and interact with industry professionals. Scheduled exhibits and aircraft displays include the Kitty Hawk Squadron, helicopters from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Children’s Hospital, and more.
