Avocet Opens Hangar at Orlando-Sanford

Avocet Aviation Services announced the grand opening of a new 55,510 square foot hangar at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. The grand opening took place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21. “The opening of this new hangar will allow us to continue to deliver excellence to our customers as well as the ability to provide aviation solutions that exceed industry standards,” said Patrick Arellano Sr., president. The comprehensive new maintenance facility will be a full-service, commercial aircraft maintenance operation at the airport, capable of housing aircraft as large as the Boeing 767-300. The company has a history in tear-down and heavy maintenance of aircraft, which includes airframe standard block inspections on B737, DC10, MD80, and MD11 aircraft and drop-in maintenance.
