Bombardier Saddened by the Loss of James Hoblyn

James Hoblyn, president, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011. A company press release says,  “This devastating news has shaken all of us at Bombardier. Our thoughts and prayers are with James’ wife Josee and their three daughters and we are providing them with our support. James’ boundless passion for our industry and his unrelenting focus on customer experience will leave a lasting imprint on us all. His contributions, kind spirit and quick wit will be deeply missed.” Bombardier says under Hoblyn’s leadership the past several years, their Customer Services team evolved tremendously. Going forward, Michael McQuay will oversee all areas of Bombardier Customer Services in the interim, while retaining his current role as president, Aircraft Service Centers. Michel Bourgeois, president, Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft & Military Aviation Training, retains his current responsibilities. On Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 8 a.m. (EDT), Bombardier will hold a minute of silence in honor of James.
