C&L Aviation to Provide ADS-B Solution for Berry Aviation Embraer Fleet

C&L Aviation Services (C&L) has been awarded the contract to provide the ADS-B solution for Berry Aviation’s fleet of EMB-120 aircraft. The program will see C&L provide the Garmin solution to comply with the FAA Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast-Out (ADS/B-Out) mandate requiring compliance before January 1, 2020.

“Working with C&L on this project has been a very smart choice,” said Gary McCracken, VP of Maintenance for Berry Aviation.” Their experience, knowledge, and problem-solving ability have been great assets as we look to complete the ADS-B installations.”

Chad Jones (left) along with a team from ARM International completed the successful prototype installation in April of 2019, with the other 9 aircraft being scheduled for completion by the end of July. Kits are currently being assembled at C&L’s facility on Bangor, Maine in preparation for the installations.

“We are thrilled to be able to do this work for Berry Aviation,” says Calvin Tuitt, SVP of Business Development MRO for C&L Aviation Services. “Berry has been very flexible and accommodating in working with us to make this happen so quickly.”
