Cobham plc Hosted UK Secretary of State for Defence

David Lockwood, Cobham’s CEO welcomed UK Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson and Michael Tomlinson, Member of Parliament for Mid Dorset and North Poole at their Wimborne facility in December.

Employing around 1,000 people on the site at the Wimborne location and the visitors were shown a number of key projects for the Royal Air Force and global export customers, including our world leading aerial refuelling technologies.

The UK Secretary of State also had an opportunity to meet a number of Wimborne-based Cobham apprentices and graduate trainees and discussed defence industry matters and the importance of STEM (science, technology engineering and maths) at schools and colleges.
