Endangered Sea Turtle In Need Of Ride

In the month of June, an endangered sea turtle named Pierce will need a ride with his staff member from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island to his new home at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. Unfortunately, Pierce is permanently injured and cannot be returned to the wild. In Pierces new home he will be on display as an ambassador for sea turtles. Pierce is a juvenile green turtle who is 22 inches long, 6 inches high, 13 inches wide and weighs 16 pounds.
