FedEx Donates 727 to MIA and George T. Baker Aviation School

On Thursday, July 21, FedEx donated a Boeing B727-200 aircraft to the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (www.miami-airport.com) that will also be used by George T. Baker Aviation School (www.bakeraviation.edu), Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies for training purposes. The plane will be housed at Miami International Airport (MIA) for use in FAA-mandated airport certification, Fire Rescue and law enforcement drills and maintenance and repair training. The FedEx donation is the third aircraft given to George T. Baker Aviation School within the last 14 months. The school also received an MD-80 aircraft and a Boeing 737 aircraft, both of which reside on their campus across the street from Miami International Airport.
