Union, Boeing to Offer Wichita Workers Jobs in San Antonio, Again
In the midst of Air Force concerns that Boeing risks a shortage of experienced mechanics to maintain the presidential Air Force One, Boeing plans to make a second round of offers to its Wichita hourly employees this week, Machinists union leaders said.
The offers will be for jobs at Boeing’s San Antonio maintenance facility.
All Machinists-represented employees have been offered jobs in San Antonio, said the union’s District 70 president Frank Molina. “Zero have been taken.”
