IBA Announces Changes to its Senior Leadership Team

IBA Group announced the appointment of Ian Beaumont to chief executive officer (CEO) of IBA Group effective from 11th March 2020. Phil Seymour, IBA’s former CEO will continue to serve as company president.

For the past five years the business has been successfully led by Phil Seymour and has seen a period of rapid growth with both its core professional and advisory services, as well as the powerful data platform, IBA.iQ.

Building on this success, the company continues to make significant investments in scaling the business to accommodate the growth in demand for its services. Ian Beaumont’s appointment, with a proven track record of leading fast-growing, data-driven, professional services businesses, will strengthen the already-impressive and experienced senior leadership team.

Beaumont was the former founder and CEO of Matrix Solutions, and as such, he has substantial expertise across asset management, professional services and data platforms with a proven track-record of building fast-growing, international business intelligence companies.

A key benefit of this appointment is to allow Phil Seymour to focus on his role as company president of IBA. He will continue to be an integral member of the Board of Directors with a remit covering business development, expert aviation advice, and strategic guidance.

“IBA is an exceptional business with a long track record of providing expert advice and services to the aviation industry,” says Beaumont. “I am inspired to be joining the company during this period of sustained growth and look forward to working with Phil and the team.”

Phil Seymour commented, “The IBA team and I look forward to working with Ian as the business evolves in the coming years. We are very proud of our achievements and excited that our future strategy continues to adapt to meet the changing needs of our industry sector. Ian’s background and proven experience fit us perfectly.”

There are no other immediate changes planned to the senior leadership team of IBA. “IBA is an institution within the global aviation industry,” and IBA’s chairman, Richard Bandell adds. “For three decades it has led the way with expertise and data that enable its clients to maximise their opportunities and minimize their risks. I look forward to continuing to work with Phil in his role as company president, and to welcoming Ian as the new CEO.”
