MROmarketplace.com Launches Online Marketplace For MRO Projects

MRO Exchange has launched MROmarketplace.com, an online marketplace that facilitates the procurement of aircraft maintenance repair, and overhaul projects by maintenance repair organizations (MROs) and other aircraft service providers.

“MROmarketplace.com addresses an important need within the aviation MRO industry- the procurement of maintenance, repair and overhaul projects by MROs in an online marketplace,” said Vince Mariano, CIO of MRO Exchange. “For the first time, MROs and aircraft owner-operators will have an online platform to expedite the RFP/RFQ/RFT process, enabling them to more quickly identify the most suitable worldwide transactional partners for maintenance, repair, and overhaul work required on aircraft. MROs can also post their facility’s slot availability for a specific type of aircraft or powerplant, enabling aircraft owner-operators to more quickly respond to slot openings as they become available.”

Given the projected expansion of the worldwide aircraft fleet, the rapid growth of the MRO industry in emerging Latin American, Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets and the increasing amount of aircraft maintenance work that is outsourced to third parties, MROmarketplace.com feels it is in a position to help aircraft owner-operators to more quickly identify the ideal MRO partners for their maintenance work and reduce aircraft downtime. MROmarketplace.com says it also enables MROs to identify maintenance projects that meet its capabilities and achieve greater efficiencies within existing operational capacity.

MROmarketplace.com has a multi-tiered subscription/pricing plan enabling the smallest general aviation aircraft owner to the largest aircraft lessors the ability to participate in and leverage the global MRO marketplace.

“MROmarketplace.com gives MROs the ability to directly compete for MRO work as it becomes available in real time. We foresee MROmarketplace.com growing rapidly and becoming an indispensable tool used throughout the aviation industry,” said Mariano.
