NORDAM has been selected by Airbus to provide cabin windows for its A320 family production lines and aftermarket support. The contract will begin January 1, 2012. “Airbus and NORDAM share a long supply relationship and our recent selection is a reflection of our commitment to service and quality,” said T. Hastings Siegfried, chief operating officer of NORDAM Transparency Group and vice chairman of NORDAM. Increased production is already underway at its Tulsa, Oklahoma-based manufacturing plant. The Tulsa facility will increase cabin window production to more than 60,000 panes at peak production periods and operational upgrades have been made to improve the efficiency and quality of its acrylic casting facility in preparation for Airbus’s increasing deliveries. NORDAM casts its own acrylic and produces NORDEX 188 stretched acrylic for use in cabin windows, glazings, and flight deck products.
