Ontic Signs License Agreement with UTC Aerospace

Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing has licensed the manufacturing rights from the Electric Power Systems business segment of UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) for its Wound Motor Product Lines.

This is the latest addition to the substantial portfolio of products that Ontic supports for UTAS under license in a relationship that began over 40 years ago with Ontic’s first license from Sundstrand Corporation in 1974.

“The Wound Motor product line aligns with Ontic’s commitment to support non-core and legacy products,” president and MD of Ontic Gareth Hall said.  “Ontic has been leading the way in supporting maturing and legacy aerospace platforms and this new agreement allows us to expand that service for electronic products on these platforms.  We value our relationship with UTC Aerospace Systems and are looking forward to continuing to work with them.”

The license adds significant new military platform content to the Ontic portfolio of LRUs including CH-53, KC-135, CH-47, C-130, B-52, C-5, AV8B and F-16 aircrafts.
