StandardAero marked the 50th anniversary of its Augusta, Georgia service center in August at Augusta Regional Airport (AGS). The company celebrated the milestone by hosting a special event for employees, guests, and airport staff on Thursday, Aug. 29.
The company says the event highlighted StandardAero’s growth in the region and commitment to serving business aviation operators at the Augusta site, including the expansion of StandardAero’s Augusta Center of Excellence, of which adds a new 80,500 sq. ft. building that is expected to be completed in 2025.
“Reaching such a milestone underscores our dedication to the aviation industry, and to our customers,” said Tony Brancato, president of StandardAero Business Aviation.
Since its establishment in 1974, the service center has supported thousands of airframes, engines and APUs, providing critical support for many business aviation operators.
“Celebrating 50 years is a tremendous achievement, and it speaks volumes about the commitment and expertise of our team,” said Chris Bodine, vice president and general manager of StandardAero’s Augusta service center. “We are honored by the trust our customers have placed in us over the decades, and we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver the highest level of service excellence.”
StandardAero’s Center of Excellence in Augusta provides maintenance and repair support for select business aviation aircraft, including Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream and Hawker, and engine and APU models including Honeywell CFE738, HTF7000, TFE731 and 36 APU.
“Our team is excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead as the aviation industry continues to grow,” Bodine added. “We are deeply thankful for the aviation community we serve, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence in airframe and engine support for many more years to come.”
