Swiss-AS announced the first U. S. customer to join the AMOS customer community: Southern Air. Swiss AS recently set up an office in the U. S. through a partnership deal of Swiss-AS and its sister company Lufthansa Systems Americas.
After an extensive software evaluation process Southern Air made the decision to select AMOS as the MRO software solution to manage their M&E activities. The cargo carrier has a substantial growth plan including the addition of further B747 and B777F aircraft in the near future which will also imply a significant increase of the current 700+ workforce, in particular the current 150 MRO system users. In order to meet the demands of this positive growth plan, a replacement MRO system was required. The implementation of AMOS will support Southern Air’s strategy and vision to be one of the most successful international cargo airlines in the world. It is expected that the implementation project will take about 10 to 12 months to complete and will culminate with a go-live that will see all of the core modules running in the company.
