Trimec Aviation Builds on Gulfstream Maintenance Expertise

Trimec Aviation, a certified FAA Part 145 Repair Station (#18TR248C), continues to build on its Gulfstream maintenance expertise with a recent GIV STC model add-on installation of the Becker Avionics Audio Management Unit 6500.

Trimec worked with Becker Avionics to complete the first AMU 6500 STC for the G200 last summer and now the GIV aircraft model has been added with this latest system installation. The standalone audio management unit (AMU) uses a display to enable new functionality with enhanced performance.

“We truly enjoy working with the Becker Avionics team and are always excited to add more Gulfstream capabilities to our facility,” John Holland, Trimec Aviation, general manager said. “Our continued success is attributed to our experienced and talented avionics technicians, and we look forward to more rewarding projects with Becker Avionics.”

“Trimec is a trusted partner of Becker Avionics and we look forward to working with the team on future aircraft modification projects,” added Rob Truglia, Becker Avionics Business Development manager. The AMU6500 is based on a completely new system architecture, which allows maximum scalability of the Inter-Communication System (ICS) for a wide variety of aviation platforms. The individually programmable soft keys and functions can be tailored to the mission and aircraft configuration. By combining the display and system architecture, the AMU increases the possibilities of intercom and multicast functions. New functionalities like 3D improve the flight awareness significantly. Modern connectivity, like Bluetooth, are integrated as well.
