USA Jet Goes Live with AMOS

Swiss-AS announced that USA Jet has recently gone live with AMOS and now uses the MRO software to support all maintenance processes.

Swiss-AS says AMOS’s complete functional depth and scope was one of the prominent reasons USA Jet chose to partner with AMOS. The functionality of AMOS stems from an ongoing investment from Swiss-AS to further develop the software (50 percent of staff is employed in product development), and their close cooperation with the AMOS community.
“It is a great pleasure to see AMOS live in production at another USA airline, further increasing our footprint in this highly competitive and important market. Congratulations on the successful project to USA Jet,” stated Ronald Schaeuffele, CEO of Swiss-AS.

The implementation project to switch from their legacy system to AMOS has led to a beneficial and smooth transition for the entire USA Jet Technical staff as they are all now using the new platform.

Swiss-AS says project leaders always assist with AMOS go-lives and provide extra staff onsite for the customer. Additionally, the employees in the Swiss headquarters are on stand-by, ready to support and react promptly to any requests. The Swiss Aviation Software implementation project approach ensured the best setup and configuration of the software and guaranteed the new users achieved the very best knowledge transfer.

By exploiting the potential of a fully integrated and functionally rich system, USA Jet expects to increase its efficiency and the quality of its in-house planning processes and at the same time, will decrease maintenance costs.

The project was supported by a strong IT department performing the data transfer in-house. As in every software implementation project, the data transfer is one of the key success factors for a timely launch.

Just like many new AMOS customers, USA Jet has opted for the open-source database PostgreSQL, allowing cost-conscious companies to waive license fees while still being able to rely on a proven state-of-the-art database.
