FAA Administrator Steve Dickson on Quarantine After COVID-19 Exposure

FAA Administrator Steve Dickson is voluntarily self-quarantining after a short meeting with Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart just before a House hearing on March 11. Diaz-Balart has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution, Dickson quarantined. So far the top FAA executive and former Delta Air Lines SVP says he feels fine.

“For the next week, like many of you, I will be teleworking from home. From there, I will continue to support the courageous efforts of our 58,000 employees and contractors during this trying period for our nation,” he said in a letter to FAA employees. “Following the advice of healthcare professionals within the FAA and around the country, I have not received a COVID-19 test, because I have no symptoms associated with the virus. Should that change, I will immediately be tested.” He clearly indicated that he has not been tested as yet.
