Spairliners announced they have entered into a long term agreement with Barfield, a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, to provide component repairs to support Spairliners Embraer E-Jet fleet. The agreement, effective immediately, comprises in-house repair services of Line Replaceable Units currently performed by Spairliners’ MRO shareholders AFI KLM E&M as well as Lufthansa Technik. Barfield will serve as the newest addition to Spairliners MRO portfolio and thereby further solidifying their capabilities and presence in the Americas.
Barfield says it offers competitive in-house capabilities and shorter repair turn-around-times for Spairliners as they are strategically situated in the Americas. The components will be repaired and overhauled at their local repair facilities, specifically Atlanta, Georgia and Miami, Fla.
“This agreement allows Barfield to establish a new partnership with Spairliners to support their Embraer E-Jet fleet. Our main objective is to provide them with the best customer service, a dependable repair quality, and the most effective engineering support that will further showcase our competitiveness in the Americas,” said Hervé Page, Barfield Chief Executive Officer.”
