Aircraft and engines leasing, trading and part-out specialist APOC Aviation has just re-located to new warehouse and office premises between Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The business says it is preparing for an influx of stock from recent narrow body aircraft part-outs, and the IT, sales and warehousing teams are all expanding.
The Company has appointed Robert Ymker to the new position of repair manager. Ymker has been with APOC Aviation since its beginnings in 2015 in a sales capacity, but he will now transition to repairs in line with the growth trajectory of the business. “Negotiating for the best repair rates that can be passed on to customers and developing our relationships with MRO shops worldwide are my priorities” says Ymker. “We are poised to build the business significantly in Asia and already have a footprint in North and South America – so looking for new repair opportunities to support our sales in these regions and integrating our own stock to maximise the value of repairs is my focus.”
The role of warehouse manager in the new facility has been awarded to Sing Lo, anexperienced logistics manager with previous roles at KLM, Avia Partner, Mastermate and Abelli in the Netherlands.
Lo has joined APOC to lead the streamlining of the new warehouse and introduce new Lean methodologies. “I have a great team here,” he says. “I am looking forward to the challenge of working with my young technicians and logistics specialists to further improve everything we do. My background and work experience with larger organizations are the perfect foundations for this – APOC is growing fast and we will soon be locating spares hubs in China with dedicated sales support there and in Hong Kong and Singapore. Ensuring perfect, seamless deliveries to our global airline customers every time, is not just an aim – it is everyday practice at APOC.”
