MASwings Entrusts ATR72s to AFI KLM E&M

Maintenance for MASwings’ ten aircraft will be handled at the Singapore Service Center and in the new Singapore Component Solutions shop, opened in February 2018 by AFI KLM E&M in partnership with Sabena technics. The company says the per flight hour contract is “further proof of Singapore Component Solutions expertise on ATRs.” With its new local multi-product, multi-fleet operation, AFI KLM E&M says it will continue to step up its presence in the Asia market.

In handling maintenance for the AIR France KLM Group’s Hop! fleet, AFI KLM E&M says it has perfected its technical and operational skills on that aircraft family. Thanks to that experience and to the many contracts awarded, its personnel can now develop maintenance programs tailored to the needs of individual customers.

“We already work with Malaysia Airlines and its fleet of 737s and A380s in Kuala Lumpur, and are delighted at this renewed mark of trust with MASwings,” says Dominik Wiener-Silva, AFI KLM E&M VP Sales Asia-Pacific. “It also testifies to the quality of our services across the region, where fleets are constantly growing.”

MASwings CEO, Aminuddin Zakaria added: “AFI KLM E & M is not new to the Malaysia Airline Group. It has already proven its ability to adapt to the operational needs of Malaysia Airlines B737 and A380.   With the excellent partnership already settled in place, it is now being extended to the MASwings ATR72 fleet.  We are looking forward for the seamless world-class support to be given to the ATR72 fleet moving forward. For us, it is a real asset to benefit from a maintenance facilities nearby as we gain in rapidity and efficiency in maintaining our fleet.”
