Global Jet Capital has appointed Ben Murray as senior managing director of Asset Management. He will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Global Jet Capital’s asset management strategy, in particular identifying which of the company’s post-lease aircraft can be re-deployed as net earning assets. This will include placing them with approved operators to generate charter or short-lease income, and developing prospects for the purchase and /or refinancing of these aircraft.
Murray joins Global Jet Capital from Landmark Aviation, where he spent nearly four years as the company’s president of Aircraft Management and Charter. Here, he developed and executed a new business strategy for the division which resulted in strong growth. Murray has also held senior positions at XOJET, NetJets and General Aviation Services during his 17+ year career.
Shawn Vick, chief executive officer of Global Jet Capital, said: “Ben has a very strong track record in developing successful strategies in business aviation. I’m sure he will play a key role in our continued growth and expansion.”
