Wayman Aviation Academy has earned accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), certifying that Wayman Aviation Academy is following the best practices of the U. S. Department of Education.
“We’re excited. The team has built a great school and to have it verified by such an esteemed organization is a huge compliment to our students, staff, and alumni around the world.” Wayman Eddy Luy, vice president, says.
The Academy has operated for 32 years and is the largest professional flight school in South Florida. It began the process of seeking accreditation in 2017. The methodology focuses on student’s rights and protections, including particular scrutiny of the school’s cancellation policy and a meticulous review of its refund calculations. The accreditation requires a complete, public catalog listing all staff, courses offered, and school policies.
As part of the certification, management and instructors received continuing education in admissions, teaching methodology, and more. ACCET auditors reviewed the academy’s finances to assess and ensure the safety of students’ funds. Accreditation will open the gates to greater financial aid, simpler student visas, and expanded academic certification.
