Gill Batteries, a division of Teledyne Technologies, has received FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) allowing it to install its new-generation 7000 Series/LT (7638-44T) sealed lead acid battery on Cessna Citation aircraft.
“We are extremely excited to now be able to offer this advanced battery to the 6,800 Cessna Citations in operation around the world,” said Gill Batteries general manager, Armando Chacon.
The Gill 7000 Series/LT (7638-44T) is: FAA PMA approval for all Citation models; a direct replacement for Ni-Cad & other lead acid batteries; has a higher starting power and more residual power after start up; longer interval before initial capacity check (18 months or 1,800 hours); is sealed, non-HazMat in addition to other features.
