AWAM Releases 2014 AMT Scholarships totaling more than $100,000.00 UPS, Pratt &Whitney, JetBlue, Southwest, American Eurocopter, Delta are among the offerings

In 2013 AWAM reached a major milestone by awarding over $120,000.00 in industry leading scholarships. Winning a scholarship gives you that once in a lifetime opportunity to shake hands with recruiters and hiring managers of some of the most sought after jobs in aviation. AWAM Scholarships provide an excellent opportunity to learn new methods, develop additional skills, get funds to upgrade the all-important tool box, and embrace the exciting opportunities the field of aviation maintenance offers! Scholarships will be awarded March 8th at the AWAM Scholarship Breakfast during the 2014 WAI conference in Orlando. The application deadline is December 1, 2013.

Scholarships are for students and working professionals alike. Although AWAM membership is a must, there are no gender restrictions unless otherwise stated in the requirements. Go to http://www.awam.org/Scholarships.aspx for more information.

AWAM formed for the purpose of championing women’s professional growth and enrichment in the aviation maintenance fields by providing opportunities for sharing information and networking, education, fostering a sense of community and increasing public awareness of women in the industry. AWAM also assists the seasoned mechanic to advance in their profession by offering industry specific training courses through scholarships.
