LENIUM FHD: Boeing Approved for Vapor Degreasing, Replaces PERC, TCE, NPB

Petroferm Inc., cleaning products announced LENIUM FHD Precision Solvent has been approved by Boeing per BAC 5408 Vapor Degreasing Specification (PSD 6-66).
LENIUM FHD is a high-performance, non-ozone depleting solvent designed to operate in both open-top and vacuum vapour degreasing equipment. It is a safe and effective replacement for trichloroethylene (TCE), HCFC-141b, HCFC-225, hydrofluoroethers (HFEs), perchloroethylene (PCE) and n-Propyl Bromide (nPB). According to Bill Breault, Aerospace Market Manager at Petroferm, “this approval confirms our position as a leading supplier of safe, environmentally-responsible cleaners that meet both the performance and compatibility requirements of the aerospace industry. LENIUM FHD is a viable solvent alternative to TCE, an EPA ruled carcinogen, and is safer than several approved nPB-based solvents.”
The LENIUM series of vapor degreasing solvents are now approved by Boeing (PSD 6-68, 6-66), Bell Helicopter (Bulletin No: 1919), Goodrich Power Systems, Lockheed Martin EMAP G41.149, Praxair (ID# GDE 10055434), Rolls-Royce (OMat 1/21E) and Scott Aviation (SMP No. 7700009 Rev AP) for Cleaning Breathing Components.
