Aircraft Technical Publishers has announced the ATP Aviation Hub Mobile Application, the next evolution in anytime, anywhere information access. Designed to boost industry safety, aircraft utilization, and operational efficiency, it provides maintenance providers with online and offline access to mission critical maintenance, operating, and regulatory content.
ATP’s new mobile solution will complement and extend the power of the ATP Aviation Hub Cloud Application, an integrated suite of “smart content” services that enables maintenance providers to drive improvements in productivity, cost savings, and aircraft utilizations, while also preventing costly regulatory lapses. The software as a service (SaaS) platform integrates maintenance and regulatory content with workflows to enable customers to streamline and manage previously time-intensive and disconnected processes, including maintenance tracking, parts inventory tracking, ordering information, tool compliance, and employee training/certifications tracking.
“Our mission is to help our customers achieve a much higher level of productivity—as well as aircraft uptime and safety—by integrating mission critical content directly into maintenance workflows. We’re also helping the industry as a whole to evolve to unprecedented levels of operational efficiency by integrating and streamlining these processes,” said Charles Picasso, who took the helm as ATP’s new CEO in 2015. “The ATP Aviation Hub Mobile App is an important next step in our vision of smart content services and seamless interconnectivity. With our mobile app, maintenance providers can access this vital content how and when they want, no matter where they are around the globe.”
The initial release of the mobile application will focus on providing customers online and offline access to ATP Maintenance Libraries—a comprehensive, single-source library of general aviation maintenance, operating, and regulatory content. ATP Maintenance Libraries helps customers save significant time and effort by consolidating and organizing thousands of publications from hundreds of manufacturers, in addition to the world’s leading regulatory agencies. ATP claims to be the industry’s only organization that links the most comprehensive maintenance information directly from 54 aircraft manufacturers and more than 200 component manufacturers to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date content.
The first release of the ATP Aviation Hub Mobile App will also provide customers with the company’s “Profile and Compliance” tool— ATP’s industry standard-setting service for the last two decades that ensures proper compliance tracking for Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs).
The new mobile app extends the reach of the ATP Aviation Hub by providing users with additional options to access the cloud platform tools and services. It enables users to run the application on mobile devices—such as smart phones, tablets, and laptops—that run on Windows, iOS, or Android platforms. Users can also download the application to run on any Windows desktop computer, as an additional option for convenient and flexible access.
“As general aviation continues to grow more complex, we believe it will be critical for the industry as a whole to embrace new technologies that advance safety and improve efficiency,” said Stanko Paleksic, manager, Fleet Technical Support, at Viking Air. “At Viking Air, we’re committed to innovations that help the industry evolve through greater interconnectivity and smarter information management. The ATP Aviation Hub Cloud and Mobile Applications are truly leading edge innovations that support our goals and provide tremendous value to our customers by reinforcing their safety and compliance efforts as well as boosting efficiency.”
The ATP Aviation Hub Mobile App will be generally available in January, 2017. It is being demonstrated at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, Booth #825.
