Aloha Air Cargo, www.AlohaAirCargo.com, Hawaii’s largest and most reliable air-freight carrier, announced three newly hired staff for key positions.
Newly positioned Aloha Air Cargo employees include:
Roy Aukai joins Aloha Air Cargo as its new director of cargo operations, overseeing cargo and ground handling activities at all five stations statewide in Honolulu, Hilo, Kailua-Kona, Kahului, and Lihue. Aukai is tasked with managing efficient operations and customer satisfaction while meeting revenue objectives in conjunction with sales and finance teams.
With over 39 years of transportation and airline industry experience, Aukai was most recently employed with the Department of Transportation, Harbors Division, as well as Hawaiian Airlines, as senior director of Honolulu and Pago Pago operations. In his leisure, Aukai enjoys golf and football, having been active assistant and head coaches for junior and varsity football teams at Kaimuki, Roosevelt, Hilo, and Konawaena High Schools.
Robert Duffer joins Aloha Air Cargo in the newly created position of director of information services. Duffer is responsible for developing the company’s information technology strategy and operations, including systems analysis, infrastructure, programming, computer systems, and auxiliary operations. Previously, Duffer was employed with Central States Industrial in Springfield, MO as their information technology manager.
Duffer received his Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Ouachita Baptist University.
Marcus Miura joins Aloha Air Cargo as its newest account manager within the sales and marketing division. Miura’s primary role will be to increase revenue through acquisition and maintenance of qualified leads and key customer accounts, as well development of new markets. Previously with DB Schenker in Honolulu, Miura served as their account executive selling domestic and international products.
Miura received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Economics degrees from University of Hawaii at Manoa, and also holds a Japan-focused Business Management Certificate from the Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS). Miura is proficient in Japanese, having lived abroad for five years in Japan as an English Teacher.
