BTC Electronic Components (BTC) – a stocking connector distributor headquartered in Wake Forest, NC – has successfully completed the requirements for AS9100 Rev C Certification, the Quality Management System (QMS) for the aerospace and defense industries. According to International Aerospace Quality Group‘s (IAQG) Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) database, BTC is one of the first connector distributors in the world to earn its AS9100 Rev C certification.
BTC first earned its AS9100 Rev B Certification in September 2009 and elected to upgrade to Rev C to meet the industry’s newest and highest standards of quality. The audits were conducted by Underwriters Laboratories Inc., an internationally accredited registrar for management systems standards who verified that BTC’s quality system fulfills the requirements for the AS9100C:2009-01, EN9100:2009 and JIS Q9100:2009 standards. The company successfully completed the requirements on their first attempt.
“BTC is proud to be among the first connector distributors to earn the AS9100 Rev C certification,” noted Chuck Grimm, chief operating officer. “It shows our company’s unending dedication to achieving the highest operational standards through quality management excellence.”
“As an organization, we are dedicated to continuous improvement with a keen understanding of customer requirements, and following through to ensure their complete satisfaction,” added Robert Barnett, BTC president. “Having passed the rigorous standards of Rev C – on our first try no less – clearly demonstrates to customers our dedication to quality and customer service.”
