Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division, Delta TechOps, has finalized an exclusive five-year engine maintenance contract with Canadian charter operator, CanJet Airlines. The fixed price, time and materials (T&M) contract covers maintenance for CanJet’s CFM56-7B engines, and expands Delta TechOps’ existing comprehensive component and inventory logistics support for CanJet’s fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. “This new agreement allows CanJet to bundle services and streamline their maintenance operations while taking advantage of our technicians’ unparalleled skill with this particular engine type,” said Tony Charaf, president of Delta TechOps. Delta TechOps was selected for this contract due to the level of service TechOps technicians have delivered since first partnering with CanJet in 2009, according to Jim Penwell, CanJet’s vice president of maintenance.
