Sky Regional Airlines entrusts their component supply for the next ten years to Lufthansa Technik. The companies signed a Total Component Support TCS agreement for the fleet of five Q400 aircraft. The start-up carrier is Lufthansa Technik’s first Q400-customer in North America. Lufthansa Technik has installed a home base pool in Montreal. More than 110 Line Replaceable Units (LRU) – ranging from hydraulic pumps up to generators – will be in storage for a smooth operation. The components will be overhauled at Lufthansa Technik sites in Sun Valley, USA and Hamburg, Germany. “[We] feel that this component contract will enhance our on time performance of the Q-400’s we operate,” Pat Melen, director of maintenance at Sky Regional Airlines said.
