MT-Propeller has received the FAA STC SA03542NY for the next generation Quiet Fan Jet 5-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR203-58d on the PA-46-310P/-350P Jet Prop powered by PT6A-21/-34/-35. The Installation is already certified by EASA STC 10049811.
MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says, according to the certification flight tests the new 5-blade propeller installation on the Piper PA-46-310P/-350P provides a general performance improvement with 10% shorter take-off distance, 10% better climb performance and 3 kts faster in cruise.
The propeller has approx. 3 lb less weight than the original 4-blade metal propeller. It provides also cooler ITT on ground with condition lever at low and high idle position. There are no propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle.
Due to the smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the PA-46-310P/-350P has more ground clearance for less FODs. The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reductions for a jetlike vibration and noise signature. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.
All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010-“Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung” for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries.
