Surinam Airways recently decided to extend the maintenance contract for its Airbus A340-300 signed earlier with AFI KLM E&M. The original agreement signed in November 2009 covered full aircraft maintenance and overhaul.
The recently-extended contract between the two groups includes engineering services, A-checks, engine and component repair with pool access and deployment of a Main Base Kit. A separate contract is in place for line maintenance of the aircraft at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
“We are delighted that Surinam Airways has renewed its trust in us,” Fabrice Defrance, senior VP Commercial AFI KLM E&M, says. “In addition to underscoring the excellence and reliability of all our maintenance solutions for the A340 product, the extending of the contract is also a sign of the quality of our relations with Surinam Airways.”
